The selling landscape on Etsy is growing, and growing FAST! With the influx of competition, you might be seeing your listings drop in rank or you might not be ranking at all! SEO for your Etsy listing will not only help your shop's rank, but it will also help your rank on Google and other search engines.
Here are 5 tips to help increase your listings
1. Fill out your listings & profile COMPLETELY.
Fill out everything on your listings & and profile and you will be rewarded…Complete all 9 or 10 FAQs and you will get some bonus points!
2. Utilize all 20 categories for your shop if you can.
If you are a smaller shop, bare minimum should be 10 categories. Some examples you could use are: Gifts under [$], Gifts for [gender or person], Gifts for [holiday].
3. Set your shop location. Some shops are afraid to do this, but it is a MUST!
It won’t hurt your shop at all and will only help it when someone wants to specifically find a shop from a certain area… and this goes along the lines of completely filling out your profile.
4. Your listing title should be a descriptive, longtail keyword.
Get as descriptive as you can about your product in one sentence to create a keyword phrase that will rank high. The more descriptive the title the better.
5. Fill out your shop description with keywords.
This is one of the most important things you can do for your SEO Etsy ranking! Go to your shop settings and update this ASAP.Try to get at least 5 or 6 keywords that are relevant to your business. This doesn’t even need to be a complete sentence.
You are well on your way to driving more traffic to your shop!
